Although already one of the leading DJ lights in the new slightly left of centre world of dance music, Hyper really does seem to have taken on a new life of its own in this last year.
The debut artist album We Control has now been completed and is a nod to the days of the Punk Rock revolution as it is to Cutting Edge Electronic Culture.

The process of recording We Control has led to the formation of Hyper, the band. Collaborators on the album include Hyper himself, Hyper’s long time production partner Ronnie, Leeroy Thornhill (former Prodigy), Jim Davies (Pitchshifter/The Prodigy), and others.
Starting out based around samples and ideas from bands such as Killing Joke, Crass, Adam & The Ants and even the Anti-Nowhere League, the album mutated naturally into a living breathing live production and while Record Contracts are still being negotiated tracks have already been snapped up for numerous TV shows, films and video games. Look out for music on “The OC”, “CSI: Miami” and “CSI: New York”, an upcoming Hollywood movie, London, as well as “FIFA Street”, “The Sims” and other EA titles.
The band (Hyper, Ronnie, Jim Davies and Leeroy) have had a successful start to there live show career since its inception late last year. A mini UK tour culminated with showcases at London’s Metro and Fabric and the year ended with XFM’s “Xmas Bash” and a massive NYE show at the Ministry Of Sound in Taiwan.
This year has seen Hyper perform in Japan, USA, China and this summers WE CONTROL tour hit Belarus, Russia, Roskilde Festival Denmark, Creamfields Poland, Dour Festival Belgium, Extrema Festival Holland, The Glade Festival UK, V Festivals UK and many more.
This is just the beginning for Hyper and Hyper LIVE and the years ahead look great!
